Seasonal Produce
Fresh produce and simple but innovative cuisine. Menus include the best meats from tender farmed venison, merino lamb, duck, salmon, rabbit, hare or beef and freshly caught fish enhanced with vegetables and herbs from the lodges own gardens. New Zealand olive oils and boutique cheeses feature on many menus. Breakfast menus feature seasonal stonefruit from Otago (plums, apricots, cherries and nectarines) to berries and pip fruit (apples and pears) from Nelson are used when in season. Menus are table d'hote, changing daily to reflect the seasons.
New Zealand Wines
New Zealand wines are show-cased on all the lodges' wine lists. From Otago Pinot Noirs, Nelson Chardonnay to Marlborough Sauvignon. The route includes a stay on a boutique winery, staying with the owners and wine makers.
